Hudson Drug Shop celebrated our 75th anniversary in April of 2025. Andy Hudson is the third generation owner of the business. Our mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve in Central Illinois and give back to these communities when possible. We try to be DIFFERENT from the big box stores in so many ways. Our staff including pharmacists, technicians, cashiers and delivery drivers are friendly and caring. We have limited wait times for orders to be filled. We provide one one one counseling on your medication...all the things we think you should EXPECT from your pharmacy, but may not receive elsewhere.

2026 Medicare Update
Turning 65? We can help you with your Medicare part D Plan. Just call and speak with Andy and he will help you decide which plan will work best for you. Remember, Hudson's is a network pharmacy in all Medicare Part D and Advantage plans!
Despite what you may hear from your part D plan or Advantage plan, Hudson Drug Shop is in network for all part D and Advantage plans for 2026! Some plans are owned by chain pharmacies and may have incentives to tell you that we are not part of the network! Check with us first!!!
Vaccine Updates
We are gearing up for vaccine season here at Hudson's! While we can administer flu vaccine now, our pharmacists recommend waiting until at least mid-September to ensure the vaccine will cover you the entire season.
Are you up to date on your Pneumonia, RSV, Shingles and TDAP Vaccines? Our pharmacy staff can check for you.

You do not need to make an appointment to receive a vaccine at the clinics or in the pharmacy. Please bring your Medicare and/or insurance card with you. We are able to vaccinate for Flu ages 7 and up (for willing participants). COVID 12 and up.

We are able to accept the OTC cards for Medicare Advantage Plans like Health Alliance and Aetna!
Join our med sync program! If you want to limit your visits to the pharmacy, we can help. Our goal with this program is to get all of your medications to run out at the same time. While there are some limitations, our goal would be to have everything ready for you on a monthly basis. This eliminates being told you are out of refills or a product is on order.
New payment options! For store account patients, we are now able to draft an EFT from your bank account instead of having a credit card on file. For many people, this is more convenient and also saves us from paying fees to the credit card companies.

No Hassle Vaccinations
We never require an appointment to receive a vaccination. Just walk in and fill out a quick form and we will take care of you. The whole process will just take minutes. We have Flu, COVID, RSV, Shingles, and T-dap in stock at all times.
